Parallel Sessions III – 3.1: Coalescing towards a European Science Communication Competency Centre

This session outlines the planning and development of a European Science Competency Centre funded by the European Union. The focus of this session is on describing the ways in which the COALESCE project will bring together numerous projects and collaborations to create a baseline of knowledge and best practices for science communication. It will describe how the project intends to support bringing together and making available a variety of tools and resources for science communication. While partially explanatory in relation to planning and intentions of the project, the session also focuses on developing a dialogue with EUSEA members and conference participants to meet effectively meet the needs and address the concerns related to awareness about, acceptance of and actions based on scientific knowledge.
