In 2027, we invite you to join us in the beautiful city of Glasgow, in the heart of Scotland. You may be more familiar with Edinburgh, but Glasgow is its bigger, bolder sibling: a city with all the culture and character of true Scots, without the crowds and without the pretence. In our opinion, and in the opinion of many who call it home, Glasgow offers a true vision of what Scotland is at its heart.
Some say that the last real wilderness in the United Kingdom lives in Scotland, and with that comes a mindset of adventure and respect.
We want you to bring that same mindset to EUSEA. As we continue to live through uncertain times (let us know when we get back to at least a little more stability), we want to hear from the brave, the bold, and the boisterous!
What are you doing in science communication and public engagement that pushes back against resistance and lifts up the voices of those who often go unheard? We cannot wait for you to share your courageous, outlandish work with us, in a place that does not stand on ceremony and says things as they are… and Glaswegians are exactly that type!

As an engine for Glasgow’s cross-disciplinary, future-shaping research and a core driver of the university’s 2036 Research Strategy, the ARC embeds interdisciplinarity in everyday practice, accelerates impact through co-located collaboration, catalyses emerging and existing research strengths, curates bold and creative environments, provides infrastructure and technology for future-ready research, and strengthens civic and global partnerships through co-creation.
